that's the problem. unused levels have no id assigned. well, except for the unused cannon level, but it's different.

hello, i made the star coin icon in Ui studio green, but in game it still uses the yellow color palette.
does someone know where that palette is located?

it appears i already solved the problem
apperiantly it uses a different color pallete when the level is displayed on the bottom screen.
for anyone else that wants to recolor the starcoin, the collorpalette for the bottomscreen is d_2d_UI_O_1p_game_in_o_ud_ncl.bin
and if the hud is displayed on the topscreen its d_2d_UI_O_1p_game_in_o_ud_TEN_ncl.bin

I have a problem, level 1 in world 5 doesn't work at all, it just crashes every time

It must be that asm hack, the level runs fine if you don't use it (consider taking it out)

did you try it without ASM hacks?
or try to set entrance to 0 and Midway-Entrance to 1
if it still does not work then try removing all sprites from the level
If that does not work, I have no more ideas

I tested them and it didn't crash on my modified rom (with asm hacks) but it did on a clean rom, so they might only work with certain asm hacks (probably that one: https://nsmbhd.net/thread/1095-no-more-sprite-set-limitation-in-mvsl/)
