You don't, why would you need to anyways?

useful is you're a music ripper. you can extract the sdat using nsmbe and then exctract the music files using nitro studio.

I have an idea:
Remember the unused world selector screen? (https://youtu.be/0ndFUoSyIYk) I think it’s a good “touchless” worldmap selector, like in NewerNSMB. So, i don’t know anything about asm hacking but I’m wondering if it’s possible to make a code to remove the zoom/rotating camera function, and add an image on top screen. [ps:
1) sorry for my bad english
2)this is only a idea, i’m not asking if someone can do this for me.]

or you could just use the newer ds one.

Hello! In my hack, once you spawn in the level, the camera is locked in place and will not move up. There aren't any camera limiters anywhere around the level, so I have no clue as to what is causing this. Any help is appreciated

also please excuse the horrendous (and intentional) level design

man, that level looks like a pain to play lol

Check whether the entrance is correctly set to view 0. if all else fails, you can send us the level.

Is there a way to make the player be able to go down the ladder, without having to remove the "Solid on top" option? That way the player wouldn't just fall through the floor, but by pressing up on the ladder, he'd climb the ladder that's sticking out and then be able to climb down through the "solid on top" part.

not that we know of, unfortunately. a theoretical solution would be asking someone with ASM knowledge to make a solid-on-top sprite that disables upon pressing down.

otherwise, just leave a way to jump down. who needs to climb when you can be Jumpman

So Im pretty new to the NSMBDS modding community, and I was just wondering if there was any way to completely skip the overworld level select screen.

So, instead of going from a save/new game into the level overworld select, instead it would take you to a hub world.

Is this possible? Or am I being far fetched.

That would require ASM. I'm not sure if there's a patch already available that does this but I don't think there is.

Unfortunately we can't help you find a rom, you'll have to do that on your own. Sorry.

Help! I can’t get nsmbe to even work! All it does is open Microsoft Access and give me an error message. Can anyone help?

does anyone know how to get on the level editor? I only see "Rom File Browser" "Tools/Options" "About NSMBe"?

most likely, something's wrong with your ROM. what NSMBe does when you open a ROM is firstly detect if it's a NSMB ROM via checking the signature in the header (which can be easily modified) and only show the "Level editor" part if it matches that of a NSMB ROM.

What you can do is check if the signature matches yourself.

Open your ROM and navigate to the ROM File Browser tab. From there, click the header.bin file and open it with the "Hex edit" button shown in the screenshot above.

Once that's done, this window will open. Please check whether or not the signature highlighted in the screenshot matches. If it doesn't, please provide us with a screenshot if you can.

The next paragraph may be a bit complex, so do not hesitate to ask if there's something you do not understand.

I recommend that you do not correct the signature within NSMBe if it does not match. Overwriting the header with NSMBe seems to have adverse effects so I'd recommend using an external hex editor for that. Once you've found signature within NSMBe (which in my case is "NEW MARIO...A2DE01") you can search that within the ROM using an external hex editor.
