I assume that you have a wrong version of xdelta then (assuming you have a correct rom).

You can as well try using the xdelta.exe from the xdeltaUI package.

And please, do not repeat your question like that. You didn't even give us a day to answer.

Wait. Does a rom with level edits and minor tileset edits in it count as "correct" rom
And also, i'm using xdelta3-3.0.11, is that the right version?

I remember patching a 32X DOOM rom with xdelta long ago, but i can't exactly remember how i did it, and if i try to use the decompress command instead of the compress command it says that the XD3 checksum is wrong and i should check it with sha1sum which i don't even know what it is

EDIT: So i tried to use the compress command which works fine and THEN the decompress command on the compressed rom, and it seems to work fine except... the patch seemed to not have any effect at all! WTF

EDIT2: I'm an idiot, OF COURSE an edited ROM doesn't count as a clean ROM!
But there's still the matter of the actorSpawner error...

EDIT3: Nevermind, doesn't error anymore.

I seem to have done this to the pause menu (only on the World Maps)

This is obviously a palette issue, problem is I have no idea which palette I've screwed up. Anyone have any idea what palette I'm looking for?

EDIT: Never mind, found it. UI_O_1P_course_select_o_ud_ncl.bin

Luluca, that's documentation, not a tutorial. I don't think there actually is a tutorial yet. What do you want to do? Edit the paths? Or just he 3D models?

@cros107 Both, but if paths aren't an option, just model edits will do.

Paths are an option, but kinda hard IIRC. With model editing, you'll want to create your models in OBJ format. Or, if you just want to edit existing models, export them to OBJ with MKDSCM. After you've edited them you can convert back into NSBMD and NSBTX, and import back into NSMB.

Do you mean as in making your own midi files, or importing midis into NSMB?

Yes, Audacity is free. If you want to pay, there's FL Studio, Cakewalk, Sibelius, Noteflight Premium and many more I've forgotten.

I have a question: what do the “Multiplayer NARC Patch (Map)” and “Multiplayer NARC Patch (Text + BG)” buttons do?

AFAIK, pratically they re-save the MvsL levels.
I mean they should import the levels into the "Dat_something" NARCS.
