The Settings ID is present for both Actor Spawner and Rotation Controller. What is that? Thank you!

Also if that's the case I will just move the spritedata to the original editor.

Have a look at the actor spawner thread. It is explained there.

Can we still apply any more ASM hacks to Newer? I am using the NewerSMBe and every time I insert the modified code of note block (EF000100 → Note Block) and restart the editor it says I have overlapped files. I have checked whether the tile behavior is used somewhere else in the game, but it turns out it is available. Is it fine to ignore the popup of the editor? If not, how do I fix it if I need that ASM? Thanks in advance.

also your rotate controller is awesome

"Also this is not the place to discuss modifing this hack. Use the general questions thread or create a seperate thread if you have a really big/complicated problem."

Yes. You can. The asm patch template is universal for all ds games and such also works fine with newer. The overlapping is caused by reimporting files such as overlays during the rom rebuild before asm hacks are applied. It is a bug in NSMBe that I really didn't want to spend much time on and such I only added a warning. NewerDS is just a rebuilt rom so NSMBe couldn't mess arround too much

Most of the time the rsa signature was overwritten by the bug which is not really needed as NewerDS has no DLP. As long as only it is the cause you can ignore it.

But be aware that importing or even saving files might cause files ending up overlapping.

Maybe this is unimportant, but it's also an issue.
When you crash v1.06 of the game, it still says
Whoops! NewerDS v1.05-EN crashed

I crashed the game by applying an ASM hack, then using a savestate I used for the same ROM before the ASM. The version number is not updated.

You do realize loading save states brings back everything that was in the RAM when you saved, ie. most of the code?

I saved the ROM using v1.06
And using the time in the UK, the timestamp is after the post announcing the release of v1.06

Weird.

*sigh*

I guess the compiler doesn't check for changes in .h files, where the version is stored.
Pushed out version 1.07 with that adjusted and misc fixes.

Hi, I tried to patch my New Super Mario Bros DS file, which I dumped from a real cartridge with godmode9 and the patcher says, that it isn't a supported New Super Mario Bros. Rom file.
Please help me. Also I dumped the .trim.nds file.

The patcher does not support trimmed ROMs, so that might be your reason.

I havn't %100 it because all I have is desmume, and it lags like crazy on the best settings.

Sorry this is late to point out, but its because of your processor is why it lags.

Yknow, I have a little 2016 Windows 10 Acer laptop, and Desmume lagged on the best settings. I got it on this old 2007 Windows Vista Sony Vaio laptop. Lag free. I didn't even have to change any settings!

It's not desmume lagging, again it's probably your processor. If it's a cheap laptop like $100 then it'll have a terrible processor, your Windows Vista probably has a better one.

I know, I just found it suprising. My 10 is a $250 laptop/tablet, while the vista is all beat up from use, I am suprised on how well it works!

Dunno how you guys get lag free Desmume emulation, my old laptop could run Dolphin and almost even Citra better than Desmume, no matter what I tried.

Enable JIT and don't use an outdated version.

Also: This is not the desmume support thread. Back to topic.
