Actually, the version I use doesn't have that feature. I can't use any newer versions. Anything above b359 and the antivirus software on the computer I use will mess it up.

Then just put value 15 in the Camera stick to bottom field. Do not ask me what do other values do.

Hope this helps. And it's better to learn things by just asking in order not to be “dumb” anymore than being dumb forever because of not asking. There are no foolish questions but fools who don't ask.

Thank you! I appreciate the advice as well.

I have a question: are the tower (Sub Nohara) 3D images in the polygon_unit folder “applied” to the Map 16 or to the bitmap?

I could not…

Try it out . Make a copy of your ROM, and edit the map 16. It may also be applied via object.

They are hardcoded based on Map16 tile numbers. The game will render a 3d polygon on top of the tile if it sees a Map16 tile of these numbers.

Same for all the other 3d tiles: fences, pipes, the 2d water...

After seeing Newer Super Mario Bros and New Super Mario Bros H, I decided to make my own mod, but how do I get past the port and host page after the download? :U

All you need to do is open a rom of NSMB and you are good, no need to set up a server for it, that is, if that was what you were talking about.

Well, everyone seem to connect once a day at least, but it's less active than before.

Regardless, for once I'm actively working on some NSMB.. thing.

Okay so this kinda works... I myself haven't actually figured out a good way...

Use MKDS Course Modifier and go to /root/map/W1.nsbmd, then export the model to where ever.
Find and edit the texture you want (In this case it'll probably be named "Background") and edit it or do whatever.

From there reopen MKDSCM and do File->New->Nsbmd, Select create Nsbtx, then press okay. Next go to Tools->Nsbmd-> and then select "NSBMD + NSBTX -> NSBMD" and select the files you created, then make a new file or over write the last one.
Then import using what NSMBe and done.

It's not perfect but close enough... I guess...

Here you go. (Also thanks for using a thread that has a purpose.)

Place an entrance, place it on the LEFT side of the Warp Pipe.

[E][P]
[pp]
[pp]

([E] = entrance, [P] = pipe)

Just like that. Click the entrance and type any number (preferably a number from 1 to 10). Now go to the other area and do the same with the EXIT warp pipe which you come out of after entering the first pipe except that do not type the number which you did with the previous pipe (ex: first pipe 1, do not do exit pipe 1.). Now, on the entrance / first pipe, click the entrance on that entrance pipe/first pipe and type the SAME Entrance ID as the exit pipe in the destination entrance box of the first pipe (ex: exit pipe's id would be 2, type 2 in destination area on entrance pipe). Yeah! Now type in the destination area the area where the exit pipe is (ex: Entrance pipe in Area 1, exit pipe in Area 2. Type Area 2 in the destination area box of the entrance pipe). Done. You will warp from the first pipe in Area 1 to the second pipe in Area 2 after doing this. If you want the exit pipe to be in the same area as the entrance pipe, but still want warping, do the same except replace "Destination Area" with 0. Just 0.

Sorry if I missed anything...Remind me if I did.

This should help, if not I could reexplain.

Mini pipes are the same, but the entrance goes on the end of the pipe (obviously), and you need to use the mini versions of the pipe entrances

For non moving poison water, just place the poison water sprite and the intended y position, and with a close by x position so it spawns
