This is a great and useful tutorial. Thank you very much.
Even though, as far as I can remember, there were some NSBTX files which couldn't be opened, such as I_mizu.nsbtx (the water tile). What do you do in those cases?

And even if you asked if World X was finished, it still just adds to a bunch of other useless posts of the same kind I had addressed.  skawo will eventually announce when it's done or how much is left for it to be finished, don't overwhelm him with those repetitive questions.

I find this thread sort of unnecessary given that it emphasizes the drama when you could've just told a moderator what's going on, but I see your point and it's definitely something a lot of us agree with.

I actually played this hack. Awful. A lot of cut-off/bad tiling; another bunch of blandness; boring design; enemy spam in some sections; weird, uncomfortable layout; corrupted graphics everywhere; prohibited use of the Community Remix's tilesets; and the list goes on. A pipe that leads to death, W1-A not being playable… From missing Star Coins and a missing entrance on the final boss door at the castle to an untouchable world screen and beyond!

EDIT: Shoot, I just realized that this hack's creator is banned, making my comment sort of useless.

I think it's enough off-topic.

I agree with  Luluca's post. I'd also like to add that:
  • The time limit must be more than enough to complete the level with all three of the Star Coins.
  • There shouldn't be so many bonus rooms.
  • Put enemies in relevant and visible places.
  • Avoid the “die to learn” mechanic at all costs in any kind of situation.

    Put the Hammer Bros. inside a zone; then place an IF event manager (sprite 168), write the ID of the zone in the correspondent settings and use a target ID x; finally place tile gods (sprite 197) covering the blocks you wish to destroy and with a trigger ID value of x. You're done! If you need images, ask.

     Hiccup, you might want to take a look at this:

    You should put the yellow outline where the red one was (the red circle in the image) so it turns into a coin when the ! switch is pressed. This was explained by Thierry before, I'll see if I find his post again.

    You can use this tutorial so you actually have to select which one of the three Star Coins you want to get at first. ;) I wish you luck for this! I'm looking forward to it.

    By the way, isn't it too soon to use Bill cannons? And your level design is a little flat. You have to put a little decoration and make it more dynamic. Perhaps these tips may come in handy.
