Well, this poll is rather strange.
I think extreme would be to people who can ASM hack and stuff. Complex should be knowing how the game works, changing stuff like models, music, more advanced use of complex sprites, etc

And? We want good looking tilesets. Instead of complaining you can try to improve

And that tileset its still really barren. No decoration or variation.

How odd. I found on that site (or one similar) a project titled the same as my hack (but content wise it is unrelated)

Also, nice title screen

I was also (and mostly) referring to Candy Crush. Or all those 'buy hints/lives/whatever or wait ages to have them spawn naturally' games.

Those games that reek of 'feed us money'.

Fortunately, for android OS atleast, you can find modded .apk so they remove those silly wait times :>
Thought for those games, that is the only source of income for the most part, so its a bit understandable

IIRC they are tutorials here:

http://nsmbhd.net/forum/22-nsmb-hacking-tutorials/

But its this simpley to make tilesets. Use Photoshop, Paint.NET, GIMP to make graphics in an 8x8 grid. Keep the same image size and import to the editor. You only need to do pixel art if you edit them directly via the editor.

Theres no concrete way. AFAIK, the first one is left on the dust.

The second one and third one, supposedly you can port levels you made in the SNES games via some tool. Info on this was on SMWCentral.

As for the last one, only hex editing.
Hacking attempts for SMA4 can be found here: http://acmlm.kafuka.org/board/thread.php?id=5226

Theres an option to change the music per view.

You do this by selecting a view, and then select the music you want in the "Music" parameter.

This means you can have different music per level file/each for one view area.

Bear in mind though, that some musics dont work fine (like the world map music)

Well, we can use both since we have multiple palettes available.

Both versions are really nice.

Since there's 2 palette left,
How about a snowy white/grey one?

You can swim in lava if you warp to the same area in the level.

You can bypass this, but its annoying.
I had this problem in my hack.

I don't know when I will get it.

60$ for this is too expensive, and I don't have money now to fork for it...

Perhaps I can get rid of NSMBU+LU and get this, but dunno.

I have a review copy

How? O.o

You know, these thread feels as a sort of goodbye one

Anyway, here are some of my thoughts.

I will always remember all the users that were at Jul, before we moved here:

Hiccup - If it wasn't for him, I would perhaps never found the NSMB hacking section of Jul if he didn't told me such forum existed after he found one of my NSMB custom level videos.

Dirbaio - A great guy. I will never forget everything he did for NSMB hacking. I remember back in the Jul days, IIRC, Ninjifox had stopped developing the editor, and dirbaio came into the forums and offered help to continue adding all the cool features we have now (notably, importing custom BG and tileset images)

ray and  Freeze - When I always read about one of them, I always think of the 2 at the same time. I respect them due to being the pioneers in making great levels when custom tilesets and BG became a thing, as well as pushing it farther with Hex editing (notably, the cool rain mod) Even though the controversy of them keeping information hidden at first was not nice, I eventually knew such information will had been made public in the end.

Garmichael - Back in the old days, when I first joined Jul, Garmichael had at the time the best level design out there. Cool levels with what could be done, as well as making tutorials to use NSMBe 4.7 and discovering some other stuff. I always enjoyed the few successful contests he hosted.

MarioFanatic64 - Amazing user. I remember when he first joined jul and posted the thread about Clone Tag Team, which was an amazing idea. I also respect how he has managed to make all these complete NSMB hacks and all the cool ideas he has. It's nice to see he is still around after all this time

Now for the people I met here:

Arisotura - I remember reading...stuff about his past actions when I was at Jul. At first I wasn't sure what to think of him, but after hanging around here, and especially at the times where I was really active at the IRC, I got him to know more. Hes a cool user, despite of what others think about him. I admire how he has managed to make 2 editors for the 3D mario games (WhiteHole and SM64DS editor), as well as the promising progress he has now in 3DS hacking.

TRS - Really nice user, and perhaps the one I befriended the most. I will be thankful for the feedback as well as testing some of my other hacks, particularly my SMK one. Also the IRC chats we had, in the final days of me being really active at the IRC, mainly for being the only one to talk with lol (Along with Tahcryon)

I don't have the time to keep writing for all of the users I remember, but here are some mentions of other users that come to mind, most of them for being regular members here, and others for doing actions that stirred things up a bit:
STORMENT,  MarioSunshine,  Arceus, Nadia,  RiksKing,  Ruedajv10,  Lunarius,  CreativiPie, RicBent, xfix,  MeroMero,  skawo, Thierry,  snake block,  SaturnYoshi,  ENEKOwii,  josuehackerds, SKJmin and more...

I didn't included those who I mainly got to know them better on other boards :v

Also, special mention to luckwii. I wonder what happened to him. He was an useful member, discovering many stuff with the hardest to understand sprite data back then, as well at the cool Metroid hack...but then, one day he simply disappeared. I heard via other means that he had some problems IRL... I just hope that he is well.

Postcount++
Pointlessness
Idiocy

My thoughts exactly.
This seems it can be rigged by users and create a never ending 'game'.

So yes, postcount++.

I'll monitor the thread for the time being, but I doubt it will reach far

See  TRS, this is why I asked for a license to handle 'Fun', because 'Fun' is a highly addictive substance that can distort reality and warp peoples mind, so add that fault to your sentence.

You shall get a permaban for possessing illicit substances without permission from your overlords and for trying to frame said overlord for performing treachery and lies.

Any objections?
