Genuinely can't think of anything interesting that happened. Spent a while wracking my head, too. Crazy how empty your days can feel with the lockdown and stuff.

I don't really expect NSMBDS hacking to get any growth at this point. Thought Newer DS would do the trick back then, but even that just brought temporary interest. On the other hand, I don't expect NSMB hacking to die for a long time either. I'm sure there's always going to be a few dedicated hackers like there are right now. Every once in a while, you have a new hacker that pops up, though it's always up in the air how long they'll end up staying. Sometimes you have someone who you thought left that comes back. Soig just posted the first new video previews for his second hack in years. To balance things out though, you always have some active hackers who just leave, like  MarioFanatic64. For a few years now, NSMB hacking's always been not quite active, but not quite dead either, and while that used to frustrate me, nowadays I guess I'm fine with it, or more like I've just come to accept it.
 Dirbaio's going to keep NSMBHD running for as long as he can, so I don't think there's too much to worry about as far as the site's concerned, either.

Although that does not go down very well, at some point a hack will come that will regain the fame of nsmbhd, well I hope so, it would be horrible if nsmbhd fell, on the other hand what hacks They think they will come out ,how newer ds this year, guys

I think, we, hackers of NSMB, are the ones that are maintaining NSMB alive and it's our job to continue to do that. We can't make NSMB die!

Exact friend, if I knew how to work with asm, I would create hack asm like skawo, well I hope that new hack of new members will come out I would like a new member to arrive in order to create a new hack, friend

we can't let nsmb be underestimated, that would suck, seriously if i could work with asm i would create an asm that could put yoshi in the game, that would be a difficult edit, though i think it could be accomplished, no,getting back to the point, we are the new super mario bros hacking domain, we have to revive the community again, cheer up guys

yeah, my hack is going to be great, with good music, and a lot of surprises what I don want to say, that spaceship might inspire many to do a hack, after nsmb the new levels, finished, I'll work on anotheroneand daisy I will be the protagonist, as I will, it is a surprise, but it is in my next game, bl4zed is right I support it I will finish my hack this year, guys

Oh well thanks. Your I played some of your levels (by the way the maps are really nice and the desert is really cool) and they really inspired me to do some of mine.

Well I'm glad they inspired you bl4zed , and well what happened in beta 3, it was a total failure, but this will have new things and little things, well back to the topic, not only the piracy of nsmb is dying,if not nsmbhd as well , I think I should investigate asm to be the successor of skawo, although the reason why I have not investigated the asm is because the template and devkitpro do not match, I do not know why it only tells me "this version of devkitpro does not match this version of windows what is being used, well if ray and fr33ze could include toad in the game I would say that if a lot of work was done yoshi could be included, people get tired of seeing the same thingall the time, so something new must be included in a hack For example a spaceship: nsmb the new levels, although including yoshi many dreams would come true for example, super mario world in ds, I do not know if some computer hacker has crossed his mind, the reason why nsmbhd did not is having so much popularity as before is because people take the hacks, patch them and leave their own link , and the worst thing is that they do not give us credits, this I think is the problem, although a rule should be put that says "do not do hacks without giving credits to nsmbhd " don't blame me but it should be that way guys

Putting Toad in NSMBDS is several orders of magnitude easier than putting Yoshi in. Toad is a simple model swap while Yoshi would require lots of difficult custom code.

who would luigi be? would mario be blue toad and luigi would be yellow toad? or would only one toad be available to play as?

It would be amazing if somone could put Mario, Luigi and both Toads (really hard stuff), but that's up to who is hacking the game.

I feel like if the character stuff was just more documented, you might would see more model swaps/custom characters.
