The boss is entirely on Mariomaster, so he'll have to answer that

Also, when the hack releases, are the NSMBUish Joytyu thingies and tilesets in Newer DS going to be open source? Because I absolutely loooooove the updated pipes/blocks/coins, they give the game a fresh look

To be quite honest I am happy that Newer DS is actually being worked on for even longer. I personally think that release dates aren't that great because there not sometimes accurate and to me it kind of rushes the game a bit. I think having no release date makes everything easier to do.

In Super Mario World, they served as a 1-up reward for collecting all of them in a level.

I'm aware of that. But the hack already contains a collectable coin that is tracked, shown on the bottom screen, and used to unlock paths in the overworld. Why include a second collectible coin that isn't any of those and then only include them in select levels?

What's with the Yoshi's Island music in this game? Not saying I don't absolutely love it, just... it seems like just about every new tune in this hack is from YI :p
