Ohh man. What program should I use then?

Just use sketch-up. Later on, the error will maybe be better fixable.

Great, I did the model of the track a while ago, and now that I watch ray's tutorial, I found out the course is so small, it fits on the object sized kart template
Is there a way to enlarge models in sketchup or I am screwed?

Thanks! I was worried I had to redo the track all over again. Also, I wonder, is 499 faces (according to sketchup) is good enough? Or is it too much?

It is only Max 2048 faces shown at the same moment. So if you have 4096 faces for example it still works. But sometimes some faces dissapear. But it is also possible it will not dissapear.

I think you created a contradiction on accident due to not clarifying your statement.

If the DS is only capable of rendering 2048 faces per frame, and your model or all models combined add up to 4096, then that means that 2048 faces per frame will not be rendered.

So when you say that no faces will dissapear, the only place where that would make sense is if in your view, you only see a section of all the faces. Then it is possible that "no faces dissapear."

But if you go above and beyond the 2048 faces per frame limit, then you should probably section the model off so not all faces are rendered every frame.

EDIT: I failed at quoting.

The DS automatically skips polygons that are entirely offscreen. This limits you to 2048 triangles onscreen.

This is why a model with more than 2048 tris works, except when there are too many onscreen.

Oh great.
Also I wonder. Does it matter that the triangle/polygon is too big? Will it cause problems? I ask this because I have some huge triangles, in order to complete the surrounding terrain and I dont want to leave it sorta empty.

Well Google personalizes your results based on your previous search history, your location, and many many other factors. So the chance of the second link being the same for everybody is low.

Grassy Mountain RC1.0

Please don't tell me all the bugs in this track. It is the very first beta of it and I will make it much better in future.
