When the camera is fixed to the bottom of the view, (which it often is,), the BG looks great. I might consider using a different one for vertical areas when I update the graphics.
As I've been saying, I'll update the graphics once the map has fully been plotted out for consistency. It makes slightly more sense to provide players a slightly outdated map as a guide than a map that mashes up a bunch of different builds, and I have no intention to completely rebuild it. EDIT: |

It doesn't work quite the same, but if you hit the wrong block, the one containing the 1-Up will suddenly become a Used Block too.

Except he made it clear that he wasn't going to do that. He wants a full, finished product. No half-finished demos that would surely make finding the latest revision more difficult, while also ruining the immersion of the full game experience.
