Personally, I think Smash 4's gameplay is good. They should just keep everything (physics, speed, etc.) and use Smash 4 as a base for future games.

Add new items, characters, stages, music, settings and game modes. That's all they need to do.

Now for the things I want them to add:

Characters: Tetra, Banjo & Kazooie, Shantae, Ridley, Shovel Knight, Prof. Layton, and maybe some ARMS representation? I vote for Mechanica.

Stages: They can go nuts. They've got 30+ years of locations from Nintendo games to choose from.

Testing Mission 6, seems like sound is working with no problems. 4 and 5 remain the problematic pair.

I got the (U) (Psyfer) ROM. Can't find the standard (U) ROM anywhere.. Can you make a version of that hack that works with that ROM? I really want to play it on my R4.


The contents of the patch would be the same. Whatever the problem is, it's beyond my knowledge.

If you're designing levels for SMM2 within NSMBe, just make sure your levels don't exceed 15 squares in length.
240 tiles is the maximum level length in Mario Maker.

I don't think you should worry at all about the player gaining too many lives. Every game has ways to farm 1-Ups, so it's unavoidable. It's better to make your game accessible for all players.

Those who want a challenge probably won't farm extra lives, but inexperienced players won't find the difficult levels fun if they keep getting stuck by getting a Game Over.
