I can set a title despite only having one post, so I'm assuming the 200 post requirement you're talking about was something of the past. The post requirement for titles were dropped. The FAQ is out of date.

When were the requirements dropped? I remember someone asking about this fairly recently, withing the last few months I think, and the 200 post thing being mentioned, still in effect. Unless I remember the situation wrong.

It's been globally removed since on boards around. It was not just pointless, it would also encourage posting more while dropping post quality.
And having a title is not exactly a privilege. |
