Tried the patch with two different roms and it didn't work for either, though this xdelta seems to patch just fine. You may've edited the fresh rom at some point without realizing it.

Unfortunately it does seem to still not patch. How big is your fresh nsmb rom? Like exactly? And can you test if other hack patches work on it?
