SMB: the lost levels is the biggest offender in this trope, as some levels have more than 1 one-block jumps. Also, I haven't used them more than twice in the custom areas, but still in this case if you fall, you can walljump back, unlike some levels in lost levels. Posted by Dirbaio

And make a "more blue" version of the tileset maybe I have used the FG water effects, but the problem is that I cant record with desmume that well and no$cash+hypercam fails But ingame, in any DS or demume emulator, you can clearly see thats its an underwater part. Also dunno about a blue tileset, since I dont want to change that much from the original level blocks and palette. They was supposed to be bloopers too, but I cant use them with firebars. _________________________ |

Well, you're remaking SMB, you aren't porting it. You can do lots of things in NSMB that they couldn't do in SMB. Try to be creative. I told you before the castle tileset needs more work.

Yeah, I know, but I kinda wanted to have most of the graphics to give this retro vibe. Those blocks are the perfect job for it.
Also regarding progress, I managed to get all the loop sprites working on all the levels that need them. I will make a video soon showcasing this levels _________________________ |

Maybe you should just pillow-shade the outer surfaces of the blocks' edges to make it look less abrupt when the pattern suddenly breaks.

However, I will just pillowshade the left and right sides, as those are the ones that look cut off. Ill do this later and post some screens. In the original game,there is some hidden blocks on the castle I think (On Lost levels of course)

I created an invisible mini mushroom blocks. I tried to remake the levels closely to the originals. But there is no invisible coin blocks. That may be SMAS, but not here AFAIK. _________________________ |

Regarding the pillowshading of the castle tileset, I wont do it.
The reason? I think it is good like that. It captures the feeling of the castle graphics of both games. Here are the objects s they appear in their game. As you see both of them seem "broken" Also, I got a boxart for the hack! Thanks to juiceala/sonictopfan for it! Yes, luigi has a baton. But I dont care. The boxart is to resemble to to SMBDX of the GBC, and that artwork of luigi was the one that fitted the most _________________________ |
