I like the background itself , but I think the stones are a bit too small, and with the black border, it becomes a bit busy and distracting. So, it's probably the best to remove the black border or make the stones a bit bigger
And I dunno if more people think this, but maybe you should change the stone color, some icons become hard to see with the green texture

Yeah, I will remove the black borders. I tried using the green SMAS bricks to fit with the 1 up, but instead ill use the brown one. And the brick pattern looks small because the pic is a DS screen size one. It looks better on a resized emulator window and a DS.

Thanks for the suggestion^^

The World 1,2 and 3 equal? The World 6 its world of pipes? The World 3,5 and 7 equal?

Sorry sorry for asking so much is that the game is not patched in .nmp

The game only has 2 themes. Grassland and snow. Hence why icons resemble each other.

World 1,2,4,6 and 8 are grassland theme, but with different backgrounds to prevent repetitiveness.
And world 6 is pipe world because the levels in those worlds on the original games have considerably more pipes used than any other level.

Also it is patched in .xdelta because it uses some special features a .NMP cant have.

Yay,a near release of an update of this game!I really enjoy your hack. Also there are only grassland themes? It seems odd if it weren't for the BGs...why didn't you make new tilesets that fit the levels?
<Silvreus>It has been 1 month, 4 days, 2 hours, 21 minutes and 3 seconds since I last remember being lazy.

They are only grassland and snowy themes. I didnt made the levels according to the NSMB world themes because someone already did that in SMW.

I tried to go for the original feel of the game

That looks awesome! But poison mushrooms and 1-up mushrooms? Well I cant wait for the rest of the bottom screen BGs to be done! I have a idea for one:
Overworld:Snow theme
In level: Grass theme
(Or the other way around)

That sounds nice, but there is a problem. I dont think there is a snow block in SMAS that could be repeated all over.
The backgrounds are really limited and they are tiled. And I already used all the possible candidates for more detailed images.
(the only ones left to edit are the blue castle one and the SMB1 one)

Or maybe, I can apply that snow/grass one to the SMB1 one

Yes they are. The biggest one is 64x64 and the is tiled to repeat all over the place.
If you notice the bottom part of the image below, you can see all the background images.

Is really limited as you can see...

And no, SMB1 didn't had snowflakes (and there is no suitable spot to put snowflakes)

EDIT: just telling you guys I already finished all the new backgrounds. All of them are new, but I will keep the other 3 that I havent showed a surprise

And here, a somewhat edited bottom screen stuff:

Nice! I havent messed with the BGs for the bottom screen so I didnt know... And I know that there are no snowflakes and I thought you could make them custom.

I edited all the credit images, so they will display the original level from the games along in which NSMB slot they are.

Here for example, is the last pic of the level showcase:

Since not all images slots are filled, I will use them for something else

Where did you find the credit images?
New Super Mario Bros.: Clone Tag Team 1+2 / New Super Mario Advance + Take 2 / Super Mario: Endless Earth

Well, im pretty sure almost everyone have seen that ending, and not the one from The lost levels, so I figured I would use that one.

Also, note to all, check the thread title

No given hour, but it should be that day (my timezone is -6:00; central time)

I already finished the trailer. Just something little is left to do...

I really like your hack.

But I have found a bug in 1-1.

In the 2nd enterable pipe, up the vine, if you get up to the top right cloud you get stuck. I thought there would be a secret there!

Options:

1. Remove cloud

2. Make cloud have no collision (tile cloud)

3. Put secret

4. Make pipe lower so you can go above it to escape
