So I've been making a level for my hack which revolves around the wrap around functionality and the camera just doesn't want to work correctly. I tried different things each times it would make everything worse. It fucks up on so many levels that I decided it'd be easier to make a video and post the level and tileset files than explain everything in details. Please excuse the current state of everything, it is very unfinished:

Don't use Object5, use camera controllers instead and fill in the ground underneath anyways.

Not sure, camera just locked and killed you, but it probably be from using Object5

I think this problems are caused by empty 16*16 spaces. If they are empty, the camera wont enter it.
Place Object2 in them and the camera should work fine. (and the death at the end looks like an empty space too. Again: Object2 should help) EDIT: I downloaded your level and looked at it. You used those blue blocks to FORBID the camera to enter a specific space(even if the space isnt empty). Replace those by Object2 (which should be orange) and try again. I couldnt really test around because when i started the game with this level, everything was just glitchy as hell, but i noticed a better camera movement. If you dont want the camera to enter these spaces, I cant help you. The blue blocks are the problem for the camera and as far as i know you can forbid the camera only 16*16 and no smaller spaces (what would be helpful for smoother camera movement)

Object 2 allows entering empty spaces. Object 1 is the opposite (works on non-empty spaces).
sometimes, you should just test them all in a row so you actually know what they do. anyway, if you don't want to be restricted to a 16blocks wide grid, try scroll stop sprites. for those, refer to thier use in original levels. there are both vertical and horizontal sprites. |
