(FYI this would be best suited for General ROM Hacking). Since SM64 Ds is a 3d game, it uses 3D models for levels. So to make custom levels you need to create a 3D model for the game to load. If you’re just starting in 3D modeling, I would suggest using Sketchup 8 (a 3D modeling tool).

I found a minor bug if your window is narrow enough, and the Navigation bar is over a post on the tops of the page, the post renders on top of the navigation bar. Seems to be only visual, but it's a bug never the less.

This wouldn't work.

Let's assume we found a way for 4 DS's to connect, and that was found a way to add the correct models and everything, this still isn't possible. The RAM on the DS is too limited, it already struggles enough to load both players and the sprites/levels. While hacking this game mode, if there are more than a handful of sprites in a level, slow down occurs or it just outright crashes.

TL:DR- Not happening anytime soon

Here's the download!

What's included?
-ASMPatchTemplate-master (with the correct Makefile)
-devkitProUpdater-3.0.3
-A link to  TheGameratorT's NSMBe that improves MvsL hacking
-The all-important readme

What ASM is in the starter pack?
-mvsl_nospritelimit_v2.s (The backbone ASM, allows you to change the spritesets in MvsL, along with other things)
-clonefix.s (Fixes Clones)
-BossLoad.s (Fixes Bosses*)

*See the spreadsheet for more specifics on how to use and such

What's this for?
-It's so people who are new to MvsL can have the opportunity to not be bogged down by the non-ASM level editing restrictions
-This allows people to now use any sprite on this spreadsheet
-Also just convenient if you need a quick ASM Setup, even if it's not for MvsL

As more ASM comes out that is a "necessity" for MvsL hacking, I'll update this pack

I will no longer be involved in the ROM hacking community, but I will always pursue a goal that combines my love of gaming with my passion to create. I'll have more to share on that in the coming days.

Do you mean a Pipe Cannon? If so, you should be able to place it in your level using Actor ID 189. Check out 6-6 for examples of using the sprite.
