I admit. Its nice to have the side bar reduced and all, but what I really dont like is the space.
Now the post are really small and IMO I always found that hard to read.
Coming from the acmlm boards that usually have some spacing. Is there a way to add padding to the post sidebar? It doesn't matter if it looks empty, but spacing really help to read better.
(just look at this board. It shows how horribly is the little space that is between post.)

I've slightly increased the padding, I think you were right, now stuff is easier to read.
Adding more would be too much, I think. It'd waste screen space too much.

IMO, it could be useful to see which users are still active.
(imagine this scenario, I want to PM an user who was posting here. But hasn't returned since a while now. The sender would either think its ignoring it, since there's no way to see when he last viewed the board)

Yes, it's possible.
In fact, the code already has support for it, but it's not in use. The reasons? THere are some problems about it:

First, when you upload an image, the board checks that it's less than 100x100 pixels, and resizes it if it isn't. If the avatar's an URL, there's no way to do that. Idiots could upload images as big as wallpapers and set them as their avatars. (Yes, this happens!)

Second, page load times. If all the avatars are hosted in this server, the browser connects to nsmbhd.net and grabs everything it needs. But if they aren't, it connects to nsmbhd.net to get the page, but then it has to connect to imgur to get user A's avatar, imageshack to get user B's avatar, and so on, and this makes page loading speed MUCH SLOWER.

I always thought It was better that way. If an URL is the only option, I usually have to upload an image from my images somewhere, which is tedious.
(also, isn't 100x100 a little to small? How about 150x150?)

New update, this time just a security update.
The board now does cookies in a more secure way
Also "critical" profile fields like your password and email can only be edited if you enter your password, for extra security.

(Before this, leaving your account open somewhere would mean that if someone found it, he could've stolen it completely)

That scared me out, because I wasn't logged in when I accessed the page and I almost forgot my password... <_<
Ill guess Ill provide an email this time.

Yea, that was because of the change. It completely changed how cookies are done, so the "old" cookies are no longer used so all sessions are reset.
Also, for password reset, in the worst case you could've emailed me and I'd have reset your password for ya. But yup, setting an email is always a good idea.

Oops, yea you're right, there's something wrong with cookies. They aren't supposed to expire (unless you check the "This session only checkbox)

EDIT: Should be fixed now

I wonder, has this really been fixed? When I opened my browser and loaded the page, it asked me again to log in. Same for the DevBoard.
