Well it's 2021, we have asm hacks, powerful tools and useful stuffs nowdays.
But i was interessed sometimes and i want to ask a question for you all. What was the very first romhack of nsmb ds and how started it all? Please answer me the question and if possible link me a patch to the first rom hack. Thank you

Before 2011 NSMB hacking happened on Jul.

The first hack that ever released was my garbage-fire hack called New Super Mario Bros. 2, released in 2010. Good luck finding it though, that thing should be buried. It's actually rubbish, but mariofanatic64 can I ask you a question, I can place that hack to see if people download it, it's just a test, let me know if I do it or not.

Well, that was the first full hack, but I'm fairly sure there were a few demos and/or shorter hacks released beforehand.
