Since I kinda moved to NSMB2 hacking I will release a few tilesets I made. They might be unfinished or have some other oddites, but it's kinda too bad to let them just sit unused on my drives.

So use them anywhere in your projects where you want. Credit is apprechiated.

Were you perhaps inspired by  Freeze tileset?


The way the lines are drawn reminded me of this tileset.
Nothing wrong with that, just my observation

Just one thing, was your tileset originally meant for the Community Remix?

I really was inspired by the big waves in the sand  Freeze made in his desert tileset.

Oh lol. It instantly reminds of  Freeze's tileset.

You even put shaders under the top part.

With this tileset I kinda tried to keep the original look of NSMBDS by using an a bit more simplistic style. I planned this to be the main world 1 tileset of my hack some time ago.

As you might notice, the broken bricks use a strange tilebehavior. Don't try to use these ones, since they require an ASM hack to work properly.

It checks if Mario groundpounds and then destroys a 2x2 area under Mario.

It is kinda strange looking without any particles appearing, so uh. Also shell Mario has a problem with this hack, since he uses the same animation state for being in shell when running and for groundpounding

The particle spawning function is at 02022B64 and takes R0 as particle ID to spawn and R1 as position.

Should be easy to add.

Edit: I just found the bit in the MarioActor which indicates if the Player is groundpounding
