If you look in the NSMB - Hacks section, you'll see that I cancelled my sequel of this hack. I will release a small update for this version soon with some small tweaks, making some hellish levels a bit less hellish and also included new soundtracks from TNW2.

The last unreleased levels will follow soon in a final demo, containing 2-1 up to 2-5.

Here it is. The maybe final version of this hack containing the following:
- new soundtracks for tower and toad house
- a more fitting icon for world 5
- updated titlescreen
- easier levels (6-B isn't fireballhell anymore, 5-Tower is shorter than before, etc.)
- level design updates (removed coins leading into deathholes, single misplaced ?-blocks, etc.)
- some other fixes

Love the hack. I remember playing this a few years ago, but it was glitched and I couldn't go past the second world. Very fun, one of my favorite Mario hacks ever.

Looks like a really cool hack. The tilesets look amazing. Will download a DS emulator and try out then. :eyeshift

because distributing an nds file would be illegal. if it doesn't work, find a different rom. it's as simple as that. xdelta is not a "never worked for me" kind of program.

TIME FOR REVIEW. First review, other than Newer DS, but I'm sure you know that I think that game was downright awesome. Anyways. I've only played halfway through so far and have recorded up to World 2 on youtube. The game has a very nice feel to it. However, there's some parts that I don't like in my opinion.

PROS:
Excellent graphics and environment
Clever puzzles and good gimmicks
Excellent new themes to the game which makes it unique and inspiring

Now, here's what I don't really enjoy about the game. The level design is pretty good but could be a bit better. That's not what gets me though, because I still enjoy the stages. It's the difficulty. Most of these levels are extremely hard for what world you are really in. In some cases, harder than any official Nintendo stage Nintendo ever made. I have a perfect example. The Ghost House in World 4... dear god oh mighty... Let's just say I *got angry a bit.* I like the level, but the SWITCH. The part with the blocks appearing and disappearing... I have been doing it for an hour and a half, game over after game over. *THERE'S HARDLY ANY TIME TO MAKE IT TO THE OTHER SWITCH.* I might be being a bit harsh here, but this is very difficult, especially for new players. I was only able to do it 3 times in the hour and a half I've been playing it but I died in the next area making me do it again. I felt like a boss when I finally beat the stage 100%. I'd recommend updating the game with the switch a tad bit closer to make it *not so hard*. This isn't Super Mario Castle now lol.

Other than that, absolutely enjoying the game. You did a very nice job and I can't wait to ragequit Super Mario Castle. At least I'll understand then that it's MEANT to be that hard lol. I hope you have enjoyed my first review.

Thanks for the review, I appreciate that.

I'm aware of the inconsistent difficulty, it was basically my first real hack (except for SMC 1 but that's another story) and I created world 4 mostly at last which is why it tends to be harder than a world 4 should be.
That's till today my biggest issue with this hack. I thought about releasing one final optimized patch but I'm not sure if it's worth after all the time.
The stuff I create nowadays is indeed more balanced, it still has the more difficult parts even in earlier levels but no unfair timing stuff like you mentioned in ghost house 4 (which I can barely time myself).

I don't see how you want to ragequit on SMC when you already ragequitted TNW
