Keeper	to make a path animation I think you have to use the Blender NNS plugins and G3DCVTR. To make a world map model you can use any model editor and some sort of converter such as MKDS Course Modifier, ass2imd and G3DCVTR, or the blender plugins
Keeper	I would recommend to just modify the texture of the world map though unless you want to make some drastic changes to the map and have a good understanding of what to do and where to get the tools
Skylander	entries? What do you mean? There's no issues I'm aware of
Keeper	no problem. To edit the map textures you have to open the model for it in nsmbe. The models, if I recall correctly, are in the maps folder and are called w[x].nsbmd (with [x] being the world number). When you open it it'll allow you to edit the textures.
Keeper	It's worth noting that for some reason some of the palettes for the textures don't match up with the textures even though their names are the same, so if a texture doesn't look right you might have to try a different palette
Keeper	or at least that's the case for w1.nsbmd, im not sure if it happens with the others
