Recently, I have started working with NSMBe and after importing tilesets and ASM hacks, I thought to recreate New Super Mario Bros. Wii on the DS. I was wondering if such project exists so I can make this or join an existing hack. I would like to direct a project like this and hope to make it similar to a Newer Super Mario Bros. DS quality.

I think such a project does not exist, since I've never seen one.

I don't quite see the point.
If I want to play NSMBW I play NSMBW not a downported version. I can understand if people port older games to a newer engine but this ... doesn't make much sense imo. And "I would like to direct" sounds like "Please create a hack for me". Many threads like this one have existed. All failed. Create something and then ask people to join. That is how it works. _________________________ GitHub - Kuribo64 - YouTube |

but it wouldn't be very accurate unless someone does an asm hack that adds the rolling blocks in 1-1 and propeller mushroom (which MIGHT not be that hard as you can reuse the spin block physics)

Posted by poudink Well it would be cool to have portable NSMBW. At least I'd like it. It's not like NSMBW levels were that good. Instead of wasting efforts for something like that an original hack is always better. Also NSMBDS doesn't even have 70% of NSMBW's sprites. So ugh

Yeah and some people don't have $22 to spend on a preowned Wii. *runs* New Super Mario Bros.: Clone Tag Team 1+2 / New Super Mario Advance + Take 2 / Super Mario: Endless Earth My two greatest assets have been mental stability and being, like, really smart. |

Yeah, I know... I wanted to make a NSMBWii demake, but not truly 1:1. I guess I could work on it in my free time and start a cool level compilation from the other games or an original hack.
I could also demake NSMBU on Wii, but I guess the same issue may arise

Are you talking about remaking NSMBW levels into NSMB? If so, the best way is to just try your best to copy the level. That's my advice
