Well, if you didn't know, actor ID 31 is the actor that spawns items. So, here's the list that documents what value spawns which item. (for nybble 12)

0: Mushroom/Fire Flower (if big)
1: Super Star
2, 4, 13, 14: Coin
3, 6, 8, C, D, E, F, 10, 11, 15, 16, 17, 18: Mushroom
5: Mega Mushroom (spawning out of a used block)
7: 1-UP
9: Fire Flower
A, 12: Beanstalk (spawning out of a used block)
B: Blue Shell
19: Mini Mushroom

If you have no clue on what these are/what they're used for, then I don't know why you're even looking at this thread. However, if you're interested on how to use these, then I could write some code for those who know what they're doing.
Thanks to RoadrunnerWMC and skawo for help.

There's a tool that allows to set different actors to already existing sprites, so it's possible to use that to set actor 31 to some useless sprite.

There you go: https://nsmbhd.net/thread/449-tutorial-change-classid-s-of-sprites/

There is a table that tells which sprite id is bound to which actor id.

Edit: Also this kinda doesn't fit in the ASM forum
