Since we can now emulate MvL, would this allow us to debug as to why the sprites crash the game and hopefully allow us to fix them?

Perhaps. That said, I've no clue why, but Melon crashes for me.

Yes, I have the firmware files, Tried couple different ones too, "Boot Game Directly" is disabled, Trying to boot retail NSMBDS |

Are your firmware files named "bios7" and "bios9" and "firmware"?

Ah, yes, with all renamed to .bin, it works.
Seems like it only checks if "firmware.bin" exists, and assumes the others do too. |

Well, it does say "BIOS7 not found" now that I look closely, but still attempts to run.
