This is a hack that I've been working on since either March or April of 2014, and has mostly been on and off as far as progress goes.

That is about all that I think I have done thus far and each world's third level(excluding World 1), is planned to be a retro level, from a previous 2D Mario game, but sort of remixed and made to work with what is in NSMB.

Mario Kart: Second Circuit (formerly N64 Circuit) is a spiritual sequel to Mario Kart: Super Circuit, but with N64 courses instead of SNES courses, and 16 brand new courses, you can read more about it or find the links to the patches here.

Well, I guess I decided to post this hack here as well.

Mario Kart DS N64 Circuit is a MKDS hack that I started back in May or June of 2014, and it is meant to be a sequel of sorts to Mario Kart Advance/Mario Kart Super Circuit.

Here is a list of things that will be in the hack when finished:

- All completely new nitro courses
- All retro courses replaced with N64 courses in corresponding slots.
- All used music replaced
- Custom Characters made by me and some others(not all will be replaced)
- All 4 N64 Battle Stages, GBA Battle Course 4(Battle Course 2 in v1.5), and SNES Battle Course 1(To be released in v1.6)

I would put a link but the only available link is to the ROM on the DSHack Hack Store, so I plan on creating a patch version of v1.5 once I get my computer back.

The frames for the tiles used in the tower tileset is in d_2d_TEN_I_toride_ncg.bin in BG_ncg and the palette is in d_2d_I_M_tikei_toride_ncl.bin in BG_ncl. And for the castle tileset, the graphics are in d_2d_TEN_I_yakata_ncg.bin in BG_ncg, and the palette is in d_2d_I_M_tikei_yakata_ncl.bin in BG_ncl.

To get through this segment, perfect timing is the key. You gotta ground pound the blocks while they're still face down and get as far as you can before they spin back the right way around!

You have to open the actual rom in a hex editor, that's what I had to do for it to find the values.

I wouldn't have been happy about it if either of them won, which is why I voted for one of the other parties when I went in to vote the other day, but all in all, I suppose that it would be best to at least give Trump a chance, and if he fucks up, just leave the country or something.

Hm, this looks interesting, although I am wondering if it is possible to use this to make a hack end abruptly after defeating a castle, so that if you want to make a 1 or 2 World Demo, you can prevent progress to later worlds.

I was wondering if there is a way to make auto-scrolling work in one view of an area with multiple views, like certain sprite data, or something to that extent. I've been wondering about this for a couple of weeks and have been looking around to see if anyone else has had a similar question.

I went to edit the palette for the scoring graphics(100, 200, 400, 800, 1000, 2000, 4000, 8000, 1up) and when I did, the palette for the red coin number graphics changed as well, and the palette is in \uistudio\UI_O_1P_game_in_o_ud_ncl.bin, so I think that might be it, but it also needs to be compressed to be viewed.

I just used frame advance in desmume to check and see if those frames of the switches are used at all, and they are, but only when you press the switch, it seems.

From what I've seen of it, it could use more level types, game styles, and enemies. Of course, I can't exactly vote on this, since I don't have the game yet.

There is this version of MKDSCM, from late 2014, that seems to be the last release before Gericom decided to work more on EFE, and exporting models doesn't seem to be an issue with this version.

A patch that I think would be nice, for people who want to add a challenge to their hack, is a patch that makes certain items, like the Fire Flower, act like how they did in the original Mario games(SMB, SMB2/TLL, SMB3, SMW/SMB4). Although, I wouldn't mind if it isn't made, I just thought that it would be a nice suggestion.

I think Arctus means that "second powerup" Mario reverts to small Mario when hit.


And vice versa, where the secondary powerup makes Mario big if collected while small as well.
