We have an IRC channel! Server: irc.badnik.net Port: 6667 Channel: #nsmbhd Join with these clients: Desktop: HexChat Browser: Kiwi IRC iOS: Mutter Android: HoloIRC Discuss anything there. It also has a nice bot which reports new posts.

Yup. Two weeks ago, Martin Korth (the no$gba developer) just made the no$gba debugger version available for free. As you've probably already guessed, it's SUPER USEFUL for ASM hacking. So yeah, go grab it and ASM-hack the shit out of NSMB! A tutorial on how to use it, with tips and tricks, is probably coming soon.

Uh, time flies.

For NSMBHD's third birthday, the staff is glad to present you NSMBHD's birthday hack! This hack is made of levels contributed by the community. Enjoy!

Aside from that, where are we going now? It's hard to tell. For a while, we have been observing a decline of the interest in ROM hacking generally speaking, but Nintendo's Mario Maker may very well change that.

By putting level editing in the spotlight, it may very well bring back some interest in ROM hacking. Maybe this will be Acmlm's Board all over again.

Oh well, I'm speculating, don't take my words for anything serious. Only time will tell.

The karma system has been redesigned a bit, to take into account +1's, and deleted posts/threads. The goal of the redesign is to promote karma, which is a measure of quality, over postcount, which is a measure of quantity.

Karma starts at 0 (Not 100 as before).

Receiving a +1: +10
new thread: +2
new post: +1
user vote: +/-5 (normal user), 10 (mod), 15 (admin)
Deleted post: -15
Thread you started is trashed: -20
Thread you started is deleted: -30
