In the revision 158, there is a bug where you can't delete a group of objects or sprites. I can mouse over them, but hitting delete does not remove them. You can delete one object at a time though.

Same thing goes for objects. I can't copy and paste objects either.

r159 is up!

Adds support for the new sprite DB. Go to the Tools tab and click "Update spritedata.txt" to check it out!
I also fixed the copy/paste/delete not working. You know what was the problem? The MINIMAP CONTROL was stealing the focus from the editor control, so it never got to see the key presses!

There's nothing wrong.
That's because you don't have the spritedata.txt file.
Just click OK, and then go to the Tools tab, click "Update spritedata.txt" and restart NSMBe. It will download it for you and you'll no longer get that error message.

But yeah, for the next revision I'll make it so that if it can't find the file, it offers you to download it.

Hitting okay worked.

So I tried the new sprite data. You have to select your sprite, then click on the map. Then in order to see the new data you have to click on it a second time. Or, scrolling through the list, you have to do the same or it will keep the last sprites data.

Much better though now. Now I don't have to keep switching between revisions to build.

It wouldn't be a revision if the editor was perfect.


Edit...
It appears the mini map is also broken in 159. You can't grab and drag...

Oh, and that reminds me of another idea for an editor feature. If there was a checkbox at the top left corner of it to hide it. Or a hotkey assigned. This is because sometimes when looking for a tile, I have to go into the tile editor because the mini map takes up a lot of space in the objects column.

When you click on Sprite 197 (creater/destroyer) and it has the maximum height (perhaps same with widht) then you get a error -.-
Water has also bugs o0 NO SPRITE DATA?

Beta-testing in NSMBe is open. Everyone can download the source code, compile it and report bugs
When we're closer to the final release, I'll upload compiled betas, so everyone can test without having to compile.

So, yes, you can be a beta-tester, much like everyone else
