yeah when I try to play Zelda phantom hourglass It get to creating a file then goes like 1 frame per secound X_X.

Homebrew is still cool though...

Be cool if NSMBe had NSMBwii support that would be awesome.
But I now that will be unlikely.

Nope. But, you have to know. These are more than enough You can add new views, so its like new levels For example:
The tower bowser JR. battle is in a area. And in one ae there can be more views. So in this are there's only one view. The boswer jr. battle. But you can add more.^^

Wow never thought you could do that. Thank you Ray for all your help.

I was thinking of doing a Super Mario 64 to NSMBds Hack were I remake levels from SM64 to 2.5 levels.
(New super mario bros is 2.5 right?)

Yes and no^^ Because the DS has 4 layers, NSMB uses 2 for the top and bottom backgounds. 1 for 3D stuff (enemys and mario) and 1 for the tiled map (The level)^^ So there is 3D stuff and 2D stuff SM64 in 2D is very hard. You have to change MANY graphics

I will make it:

Like I smashed it and make it one huge level you have to go threw.

Ok so you know how 64 is 3d right?

Instead of makeing platfroms over the ground to make lets say the high up area next to were you start at in bom-om battle-feild I was going to include it in the level farther ahead so that it's a long level instead of going up then back for no reason.

This way will make it were you see all parts of the level with-out going back. Lol I hope you under-stand.

Long story short.

you could have

-------- / so you go up and have to
________/ go back.

or
[000000000000]--------- spred it
[00000]_________/ out in one huge
[0000] / level
_______/

[00] are for showing nothing because for some resion spaces make it show up like this:

/----
----/
instead of:

[00]/----
----/

When I get a computer is unknown thats why I can't wait for the ds editer.

Btw if you have a dsi xl do you go on filpnote hatena? I am also luigi hero on there. If you are then can you send me your command code? (PM) Sorry for being off topic.

Anyway what would happen if you replace mario with a custom snes mario spirtes?
Like if a made smw spirtes that his body parts are in the exact same place as the 3d one?

You mean the NSMB mario?
Its a 3D modell and we are not able to change them yet.^^

Well when you go to the very bottom of the main menu in hatena say command code. Its where you type useing the dsi buttions and everything as a command code under details.

0.To find yours go into hatena

1.Go into creatur room

2.tap more info (under name)

3. find something looks like dsi buttions

4.wright it down

5. pm the code to me.

6. Then I will add you to my fav.

7.then tap the heart next to your name (Fans)

8. tap me

9. tap add to fav (if you want)

10. scroll down to posted filpnotes

11. whatch one of my filpnotes if wanted to.

And to get on topic: I will make a filpnote of my 64 level in NSMB DS to show you what I am talking about.

Note: might need to wait a while for me to add you to my favs.

So if mario is unreplaceable...

Could we import the textures of the custom mario in the game then change the pointers to load the smw mario instead of 3d mario?

I wonder if that would work...

ASM stands for Assembley Languaje. You take the source of the game, using various tools, try to understand how it works. Its very, very difficult to do something, and requires having knowledge on other things. However, if you manage to understand ASM in NSMB, you can do virtually anything to the game (of course, the software/hardware limitations of the DS are present), such as possibly adding the raccon suit, or other wicked stuff to make the game more interesting; enemy, bosses, etc.

Also If you want a look at ASM here it is:

This is some ASM code that has been analised and had comments added to it

This is some ASM code that is present in the game

As you can probably see ASM code is VERY hard to understand.
If you do understand some of it you can document it (As shown in the stop part of the code).
But the only code that is present in the .nds game is the bottom code.

So for now it is not easily possible to change mario's model.

EDIT: @ Dirbario Yeah LOL, I changed it now... (Also is the last line of dissassembled code in whole arm9.bin : andeq pc,r2,r12,ror #1 I think that it has not decompressed properly)

Yeah, much like they said. ASM is about modifying the game's code.

So, in theory everthing is possible, but in practice it turns out to be hard / impossible.

(BTW, Cool As, the second snippet of code you posted looks more like disassembled random data rather than code)
