This hack isn't 100% finished but there's a DEMO available with 2 full Worlds and other cool stuff, DOWNLOAD V1.2.

Super Mario Bros. The Missing Lands is a New Super Mario Bros. DS Rom Hack that I've working on for a while and that I'm putting a lot of effort and dedication .

This hack will have the same worlds as in the original NSMB but redesigned in my own way, as well as introducing cool gimmicks and mechanics, fun challenges, renewed graphics, custom music, and other cool stuff. This hack also includes new features such as:

- Star Coins are now replaced by "Ztar Coins" which are located in risky and/or hidden places
- Towers are replaced by castles and castles are replaced by airships (like in SMB3)
- Mario and Luigi are now capless at 99 lifes (like in NSMBWii)

This hack has a medium difficulty, it's neither easy nor hard, if you're a noob, maybe 100%-ing this hack will be a tough task for you, but if you're an experienced player, you shouldn't have any issue, however, I can guarantee that you'll have a lot of fun when playing this

i only played 1-1 because i wasn't completely sure the game would work (not gonna elaborate cause it was wrong)
but anyway
it was fun, took two tries to get all three coins
you are awesome for enabling pre-completion saving

underground sounds kinda depressed but maybe that's just me

two errors(?) i noticed:
on the title screen the settings button acts kinda weird, not sure how best to explain it
coin signs are still star rather than ztar

final note: soundtrack release?

The soundtrack in this hack is not definitive, most of the songs in this hack are placeholders and many of them will probaby be replaced in the final release, and I plan on uploading the full soundtrack once I finish this hack.

I think I get what you mean with the titlescreen buttons, the "settings" button is always red right? I need to fix that, those buttons are a bit trolly, same for the Star Coin signs, I didn't really see it relevant as this hack is still in beta phase and I didn't bother doing any worldmap-related stuff.

100%ed nsmb (never doing that again)
yours is next so

1-2: good, though coin 3 is a real pain and i'm not completely certain how to get 1
1-3: also good, but boomerang bro before the checkpoint powerup is pain
note: 1-2 and 1-3 are even easier to grind 1-ups on than nsmb's 1-1, not sure if that's desired operation or not
1-tower, if you can even call it that: good, not much to say other than coin 2 pipe requires either much skill or two hits
technically haven't beaten "tower" so that's all for now

I realized I spam too many 1-Ups in my levels, I should remove most of them, you'll most likely get 99 lifes before completing world 2, lol, and as for the first Ztar Coin in 1-2, you must fall into the abyss on the left, for further reference, check out this screenshot:

Hey everybody, I just wanted to let you know that version 1.1 of the DEMO is now avalaible for download, I made a lot of improvements compared to the previous version so I'd recommend playing this one instead, if you have any bugs to report or any suggestions of how to improve this game I'd appreciate it a lot .

This is super cool! The temple levels look so so cool, it makes me wish there was a whole hack just themed around those haha. Defo going to dowload this

Please make use of the [imgs][/imgs] tag (note the s) when you post a lot of screenshots, that way they don't fill the page with huge images. People will still be able to click the images to fully view them on a new browser tab.

Either way; i barely checked any new projects being posted here but this one looks quite polished, so keep up the good work!
