Okay, so I got an old 3DS XL that I need for something. The hinge on the right is broken which I can live with. The problem is that ever since that broke, the top screen quit working and just displays lines across it. Also it only turns on when you open it part of the way (actually found out that a certain part needs replaced.) this issue I can live with as well. Is any of these issues connected to the top screen not working, or is the entire top screen just shot period! I’m wanting to turn this 3DS into a drive in movie theater for my model train layout. Thanks.

hello skylander, to repair your 3DS I recommend you as a console repairman, that you change the housing to correct the failure of the right hinge rupture, also change the hinge to correct the slackness and the screen because the lines grow over time that's all What can I help you with, okay?

I don't know if your 3ds is homebrewed or not, but if not, then it should work with Nintendo. |

Didn't think Nintendo still supports 3DS repairs.

they only stopped the original 3ds. all other variations can be taken in.
