If you want to use an animated icon you can use:
https://github.com/TheGameratorT/NDS_Banner_Editor/releases

The file it takes as input is banner.bin that you can get from NSMBe.

EDIT: yep

you can use an animated icon in NSMB, but only DSi, 3DS, 2DS systems will see it animated. if you use a flashcard to load an hack with an animated icon in a DS you will see just a frame of it.

i was thinking that poudink meant that Animated icons are only for DSi games
