You will also need Desmume (DS Emulator) to play the game. To play it on a 3DS, you will need TWLoader or an R4 Card.

I tried patching the USA ROM and the European ROM, both do not work. Both give me the error message:
xdelta3: target window checksum mismatch: XD3_INVALID_INPUT

Well, I am sorry to say that I cannot tell you what ROM I am using. But USA and EUR doesn't matter, as it's where I get the rom from. Try patching it over another hack, or a ROM from a different site.

Edit: Ok I might have something. Go on RCTgo (Yes Roller Coaster Tycoon Download Site) I privatly shared a demo of New-ISH. If you find the first download for it under parks, it's got the whole Rom included. To make it easier to find, search for my Profile "Skylander Katfish", and look under downloads. I have 4 downloads with New-ISH. download the earliest one and try patching it. I know it works because I have tried it.

The ROM Header is invalid. I think that happens when you insert too many and too big files into the rom. This makes the rom itself bigger than 32MB, what kills the header. Don't know if thats the problem, but I think creating a xdelta patch with a broken hacked rom isn't possible or won't work properly.

And Ndymario is right, posting full roms isn't allowed because most of the work done in this 32MB was made by Nintendo: (rule 4) https://nsmbhd.net/faq/

Well shoot. I dunno what to do now. If that's the case and making a patch won't work, then I gotta leave the Rom up for download, so people can at least enjoy it. I am sorry for all the inconviences.

Review

First of all, you truly worked hard on this hack. I appreciate that and there are still areas you can improve in. I may be a bit too harsh or picky, but that just represents my opinion towards this hack, but definitely not pinpointing you.

Starting from the title screen, please forgive me for saying that the logo is awful. If you would like to make a reference to the classic Super Mario Bros. in 1985, please use a darker background, not bright yellow which will hurt your eyes. I know that you realized that the logo is bad, but this gives the first impression to the players.

Heading to World 1-1:

1. When the piece of grassland is next to a desert [1][2], I feel a bit uncomfortable. You may consider retexturing the sprite to make it suitable for this level.
2. You should make sure every place around is filled with enemies, sprites and coins to keep entertaining the player. From [1], the area appears to be very dull, flat and boring.
3. You must not keep an original area in the game [3]. You can, but you cannot make it accessible.
4. You must erase the entire area before making the level. In [4], the edited area of yours is extremely similar to the one in the original copy of the game.

If these errors are fixed, this game is actually very fun to play. Of course, all of the above does not just apply to a specific level. I may add more to this review, and I may tell you more about correcting your mistakes.

This is based on the part of the game I have played so far. Maybe the levels are extremely well-polished in the later worlds. I will explore more later.

I totally agree with you all 100%. Yes the logo is terrible, and will be changed in the next update. Yes Ndymario, I can open the hack in NSMBe. I can't get it to patch with any copies I have.

Yes there are some areas that will be spiffied up. A couple areas I know of hasn't been touched yet. Yes that cave will be changed. The farther you get in the hack, the better. I admit that some areas are a bit sloppy.
1-1 use to be different, using the original DS forest tileset, and having the flagpole castles as beach houses. I changed all that to make it look a bit cleaner and not look like I just vomited random stuff everywhere.

Anyway, this will get worked on. Thanks!
