hello everyone. i'm making a rom hack and i have a little problem. the cannon in world 2 goes to world 4 instead of 5. however the cannon still says world 5 even do it goes to world 4. how can i change the to make it say: world 4

In the editor, it doesn’t update the sprite icon, changing the option is seen in game. To change the world you get launched to, click on the sprite then use the drop down box

I have run into this problem before. The issue here is that Nintendo never had a cannon to W4, so when the cannon tries to load the sprite for a cannon to W4 it can't find one. It then uses the default base value (W5) and loads that texture for the cannon sprite. It will show this for launching to any world other than W5, W6, W7, or W8.

For where these sprite textures are stored, go to the file browser in the editor and go to "root/enemy/w_cannon.nsbmd"
If you won't have a cannon to W5, you can change the W5 cannon texture to "W4", that would fix your problem.

Skawo put 'Warp' on all the cannons in Newer DS. Dunno how.


Probably using the method I mentioned above, going to "root/enemy/w_cannon.nsbmd" and editing all the textures there to say Warp.

IIRC the file mentionned above can't be opened with NSMBe. You might need to use something else instead.
