i made a custom castle level but when i play the level i instantly die and the only thing i see is the background. i don't even see mario. i checked in the editor and the spawns are all in a place where mario can't die

Have you placed an entrance with the id that is set as the starting entrance?

Do you have placed a zone?

Is the entrance's zone id set to the one the zone has?

well aperantly i can play the stage but the the item blocks have nothing in them and the background is just black and there are no enemies in the stage

and now when i enter the stage i can see a tiny part of the stage but i instantly die in lava even do i deleted the lava from the stage and when i die the screen goes red and then the screen fades black and then i am back again in the world map. i think the red color is the lava and the lava is really high up in the level. but thats weird because their is no lava in the stage

Maybe it will help if you post a video of the problem. Also, you should post the level files as well so that someone can look and see what's wrong with your level.

Try removing the lava sprites from later in the level

well thankfully the lava is gone now apparently it was in the top left corner for some reason but now when i play the level instead of dying the level is going totally crazy and everything vanishes and i only can see the background. the level is beateble now but who wants to play a stage when every 3 seconds everything disapears
