Well, we certainly need (or needed) to advertize this contest better.
Even if you don't bring back the old main page, at least put the contest in front so people actually see it. Also, I recommend pushing the deadline further if some more people decide to join. I, too, had a lot to deal with as of late, so I can't put much time into my level.

My level is far too annoying to play. I think I might restart, vrazy as that sounds. A week is probably enough but I just don't know how to include the ice theme well.

Did you patch the xdelta to a clean rom? The one I used is 0479 New Super Mario Bros. (EU)(M5).

I would have asked that next time, the contest gets some advertisement on the front page, but the front page seems to have disappeared! Also I'll be gone most of the day so I'll close submissions when I wake up tomorrow most likely.
