Sorry if I don't really understand why you did what you did but, The full sprite sheet for the early bricks is in the files and in the sprites, it's the unused spring or something along those lines, I also believe you can find the sprites for the early bricks on the cutting room floor. I hope this is helpful, honestly i don't know if this is still active or not, or if you are, but i hope to help by posting this. (Edit: Wait holy hecc you updated it today, nice!)

That brick sprite you're mentioning was from the E3 2005 build. I used the sprites from E3 2004 screenshots.

Version 3.0 is released after a year now.

This update includes HUD redesign and a concept of new enemy models.

Also more missing graphics have been implemented, such as the blocks seen here:

Personally, this hack needs more improvement. It's cool to recreate what the beta would have been like, but most of the levels were not good. Most of it left the original level design, just with small tweaks. 1-1 has obvious references to.. Well... 1-1. I've seen that 1-2 gets repeated in 1-4. 1-2 is even has references to 1-4. Also most of the levels BARLEY had changes. The Tower level is the same with no edits and so is 1-5, and the castle level. The only thing in the castle that is orginal is the remake of one of the beta videos where the 3D Goomba touches the SM64DS Mushroom and becomes a GODZILLA Goomba. Granted it appeared in the Forest World 4, but I digress. I also noticed glitches with the tilesets at times. It's all my opinion, so others please agree or not.
