If it's about collecting star coins (power stars, essentially) then why do all the levels currently have flagpoles and only three star coins?
Unless its not going to be a Super Mario 64/NSMB mashup gameplay style. |

The consensus is that the Star Coins are needed to unlock levels, so a level can be completed and you can move on to the next level without getting any Star Coins, but when you come across a door in the Hub World that requires "x" Star Coins to access, you have to revisit the levels you missed Star Coins in and explore them a bit better. Basically it's just like their purpose in NSMB, NSMB2, 3D Land and 3D World, but with a more emphasized role. Ok well this idea goes with a story idea I had. Might post that first.
Edit: Ok so I posted the story idea. Now for the hub. So basicly Luigi's Mansion is split into 4 floors. Worlds 1 and 2 and on Floor 1. Worlds 3 and 4 are on Floor 2. Worlds 5 and 6 are on Floor 3. World 7 is on Floor 4 and World 8 is on the Roof. We can use the idea you drew up on page one but add features a mansion would have. Maybe have Year of Luigi poster put everywhere. Also if we choose to have a World 9, we could put it in the basement. Also how anout instend of collecting Star Coins, Mario has to collect L coins which are just star coins with a L insted of a Star plastered on it. How this helps out with the hack. |
