Hello I'm new to modding i've been wanting to create a rom hack of NSMB. The hack I'm making is called NSMB World Change it will be a Full hack, All the level themes will be changed, but I don't know how to change the theme of the world map sorry.

I recommend putting custom tilesets or background for the levels instead of using the normal ones. (With the exception of some backgrounds.)

(Yeah he's new on modding but is just a suggestion.)

Tips:

-Change World Map Textures: https://nsmbhd.net/thread/1857-how-to-edit-world-map-textures-tutorial/

-Recommended to Use this: https://www.desmume.com/ Instead of Hardware for clearer detail in screenshots. You can also use this: https://nsmbhd.net/thread/3413-how-to-get-post-screenshots/ to post screenshots from DesMuMe.

-Clean high quality rips of NSMBW/NSMBU/NSMB2 tilesets. It may help: https://nsmbhd.net/thread/1685-rips-from-newer-nsmb-titles/. Also, to import graphics, open NSMBe, go to tilesets click a preferred one to replace, click the replace button, find the .nmt file of choice, select it, and then enter.

(I know you're new as Coney Goes Hacks said, but i think these tips should help you in development.

Why is it .nds file if you want to romhack with all of us then make it a xdelta patch use delta patcher and then upload it just a tip
