Hello everyone,

Just wanted to ask something about polishing levels.
To create a good and fun to play level, it should not cause lag. Obviously.

But I was wondering: If a level doesn't lag on my pc (= DeSmuMe) can it cause lag on a real DS?
Does this depend on my cpu/graphic card/whatever and is there a way that ensures that "no lag on pc" equals "no lag on DS"?

'no lag on PC' is impossible to ensure universally due to the wide range of difference among PCs

'no lag on DS' should be a goal tho. and emulators, being more or less inaccurate, aren't always a good help in ensuring your levels don't cause lag. so it's best to test on hardware.

I'm planning on getting an R4 Card, so I can test my levels on real hardware before release. (Learned my lesson from New-ISH) Surpisingly, this Sony Vaio from 2007 works great with Desmume and I don't have to change any settings

DeSmuMe does not properly represent how the game runs on a real DS.

I remember parts of Newer working flawlessly on DeSmuMe but lagging a bit on real hardware.
