Which level?

It's actually the 1st area of 2-A...or maybe the starcoin is connected to something...dunno...like temporary tile destroyer...you made the level so you are the only one to know about the purpose of the song...

I'll have a look at the level in the editor by myself and try to understand what's going on...but since this is your hack I think that it's your job to have a look at the levels and fix the bugs

EDIT:There's only a starcoin in 2-A...is this another bug or you planned that the level should have only the 2nd starcoin?

Oh wait, I know what it is.

When I was first creating the level, the secret exit was made to be opened when that star coin was collected. But since I changed the secret exit's location, it just kept that timer ticking. I'll fix this in the next patch.

On that note, the next patch will be completing 3-2, 3-A, 3-B, and 3-Tower.

I think I can comprehend what your saying.

If you patch the newest version (1.3.4), then the save files will remain the same yet the changes made will show. For example, if you were playing 2-1 and I made a change to it in a new update and you patch it with a version that changes 2-1, as long as you didn't load directly into 2-1 the changes should be there once you play the level.

Well, I didn't go W2 yet. Still at W1.

World 2 was just a random example.

Oh ok. So am I good to go to repatch and remove old one?

Yes.

It might be a while until the next NSMB+ update (1.3.5) since I am working on some other things. The update should be completed sometime next month.

Rather than making a small little 1.3.5 update, I have released a new version - 1.4.0!

NSMB+ 1.4.0 (7/30/2014) (US)
+ Added all the World 3 levels! (I was a little lazy on some of them, feedback appreciated)
+ Added new tilesets for ghost houses, underwater areas and spooky scary places.
+ Began on 4-1 and 8-1.
* Changed title screen logo.
* Fixed bugs.

Once again, since I was very lazy with some of the World 3 levels, I'd really like some feedback so I can figure out how to improve them. Also, the next big update (1.5) will be adding World 4 and 8 most likely.

Gee, I am posting three times in a row. Anyways, I have something to say.

I am going to be putting this hack on hold for now. I'm not going to stop it completely, but I am in fact going to pause it for a while. I feel that this hack is going in a lazy direction and it won't progress further if I keep continuously rushing through it. Once again, this won't be dead forever, but it will be with no development for a bit.

So, yeah. The next update won't be for a long time. Sorry guys.

Well, that was a long hiatus.

I'm going to bring an update in the next few months - 1.5. You can read more about it here. I'm too lazy to type about it again.

Does anyone have any suggestions for it?

I'm incredibly sorry if what I'm going to ask is a stupid question, but...do you think that you will show off NSMB+ 1.5 at the SMWC's Winter C3 that is going to be run in a few months? It could be a great opportunity to attract people to the forum and to the NSMB hacking scene.

P.S: I'm saying this also because at the SMWC's C3 I've seen only SMW or SMBX hacks. Something different surely could be more interesting.

Here's a preview video of Level 2-3 in the coming update. The level design is inspired by something Skawo did, but I forgot what.

Another Super Mario Bros. DS?

That's a pretty nice "Ruins" level...definitely better than the old 2-3. Good job, sir.
There is only a thing that bugs me in that level, though. Go at 2:11, you can see that the fire snake goes through the pipe.

And,  Hiccup...not to be a smartass, but...it's Another Super Mario Bros. 2 not Another Super Mario Bros. DS.

Okay, excuse me while I ASM hack to fix this so they bounce off walls and ceilings perfectly.

Don't. Simply move the ceiling up a bit or put something to avoid that the fire snake glitches through the pipe.

Also, I'm sorry if my post sounded a bit too smartassey, but I just wanted to move a reflector to the bugs of the levels and help to make that level perfect...not to intend a thing like "omgzorz you made a bug...you are the worst NSMB hacker evah!".
