Yes, because it really made us go off-topic.

Also, in the big update, I'm planning on changing most of the currently available levels almost completely. I'm not satisfied with some of the World 1 ones since they're too focused on being like the originals. The World 2 levels may get a few changes, but nothing big.

This big update is probably going to end up being NSMB+ 1.3.

Well, why don't I keep the name of my hack NSMB+?

Anyway, on-topic again.

I have an idea.

World 5 castle "Icycold Icecastle"? Slippery ground

And World 3 castle could be "Waterfilled Cheepcastle"? Well, normal castle, then you enter a pipe in the ground and it's an underwater castle with the tileset from the world 5 castle

I have many other ideas

Nice idea. I'm going to make each castle match the theme of the world's levels. For an example, the World 8 castle could be the spooky theme and the final World 8 Castle could be all about lava, fire, and happy death things. :)

Even better idea? World 5 castle would have 'broken' patches of ice in the ground (the parts which are slippery).

An update has come!



NSMB+ 1.2.2 is here, introducing levels 2-3 and 2-4! The download link for the patch is available in the initial post. And yeah, I'm aware of many problems with these levels. In the upcoming big update (probably 1.3 or something), I'm gonna fix those levels (especially 2-3) and add a bunch of new levels.

Yeah, I noticed those bugs too. I'll fix them in the next update.

For the upcoming big update, I've put a preview video of my changes to World 1 in the initial post. I'm planning on keeping 1-A and 1-Castle the same as normal, but everything else with large changes.

Sorry for posting twice in a row, but I'd like to mention that I have decided that 1.3 will feature all of the levels up to the start of World 3. I am also going to be doing some stuff with tilesets.

What levels added, What fixes...

The changelog is in the initial post.

+ The big update! Added 2-A, 2-Tower, 2-5, 2-6, 2-Castle, and began on 3-1!
+ Added new New Super Mario Bros. U tilesets!
+ Added new ? block, brick block, used block, and wood block graphics!
* Change ALL the World 1 levels! World 2 also got quite a few changes, too.
* Bug fixes, probably.

In general I like your level design but 2-Castle...? Is this a joke? The path is buggy, the level is extremely short and unbelievable easy and there´s no variety. Sorry but this is the first bad level in your hack for me Maybe you could rebuild it.

I can't seem to open the hack in DeSmuME (0.9.9). It fails to load the Nintendo logo.

I know my ROM is clean and I'm inserting the patch properly ("import patch" in the editor). Am I doing something wrong?
