I didn't do either of the pranks.
I feel insulted you think of me to be so juvenile, actually.

I never encouraged anyone to donate, promoted it in any way, nor promised anything in return.

About the logo, it just the logo of Another Super Mario Bros. Wii edited , and we see often that "2" in some images.

Yes, logo of Another Super Mario Bros. Wii, which was also made by Pop.
And, the 2 was made from scratch. It may be in a similar style to someone else's, but that's just because they're both trying to emulate the NSMB title font.

I like your hack, and I hope you going to make your own tileset, a day.

I don't find new tilesets necessary, and I think you should be able to create something decent with just vanilla resources.

You don't need to know in which overlay it is; even I don't. Just decompress them all and use any hex editor's search function to find the values provided. There's only one instance of each in the ROM.

Yeah, don't use the NSMBe hex editor, use some other one which can view the entire rom.

I'm incredibly sorry if this was asked somewhere before, but the search function yielded no results and I just spent an hour trying to find these damn things:

Any help on where those bastards may be would be greatly appreciated.

Haha nice, how did you fix it?

I made part of it be in the s_hana1 model so it didn't have to be squished as much.

It should be said about the BNBL that the "0x10 Y position - 2 Bytes" is actually counted from the bottom.
Also, 0x09 and 0x11 are something else.

Place the Zoom sprite, set the zone nybbles to 0 and the zoom height/width to above 16.

Umm... Am I doing this correctly? Zone width/height can be 15 max so I figured out You meant Zoom left/right ( there's no zoom width/height fields )

Yeah, sorry. But, that is right, just move the sprite so it's to the right of the entrance.
And the above thread is the most useful, yeah.

Paint.NET: A good alternative for Paint.NET.

Hm, I think that's not quite right, there

Mkds editor? Lmao.

That shit is useless, it can only view it, and is very broken.

You laugh, but it actually supports importing some stuff better than NSMBe, especially NSBMTXes and NSBMDs (and textures)

It seems some front backgrounds change the scrolling slightly?

Using, for example, slot "29: Pipes" as background, you can't stop camera's horizontal scrolling in 16-tile-wide-zones limited by the "Scroll and Stop Mario sideways" sprites or levels with wrap-around enabled. It'll still try to slightly scroll and will look a bit glitchy. Using, say, slot 30 instead, nothing of sorts happens.

Is it known why this is?
