What are your thoughts on the new trailer for “Super Mario Wonder”?
Personally I think it looks weird. The art style is funky and there are coins being collected, I just didn't notice them  . The level design looks more open than usual, and it looks more fitting for a Yoshi or Kirby game than a Mario game. Also Elephant Mario looks very weird and out of place. I think an elephant suit would make more sense :p

The art style is rather wack (both off-putting and also very fresh, so I don't know if that is good)
I would like to wait and see. People in the past thought 2D Mario was done (and that there wasn't any real way to expand on the ideas, only reuse the ideas from before with small changes) If this game is good, then it would prove them wrong. At the same time, I am guessing we still get the Grassland -> desert -> beach -> jungle-> snow -> mountain -> clouds -> lava levels. And finally: yes, the elephant Mario is out of place. |

We can't say for sure that its a good 2d mario game at all yet, its not even out. It might control terribly or something, or not even play like a mario game.

They already said they were done with "New" super mario bros. games after U Deluxe, and they clarified that there would be more 2d mario games in the future.
