Try importing it into a different slot. I have had problems with underground tilesets and backgrounds as well. They all got corrupted after importing.

OK. It seems that the Underground tileset and BGs are kind of hard-coded, but kind of still editable.

EDIT: Can Dirby use ASM to get the tilesets and BGs not to get corrupt?

Out of interest,  hamza62240, could you post a picture of your BG before importing, and the same BG that you're using as a base? I'm testing a theory that might help...

What I mean by "the BG you're using as a base" is that BG that you recoloured to make the new one. Could you post that one too?

It's just a recolor of the original underground, just recolored it.

Actually, that's my tileset I asked mrx to fix (Add the right behaviours for the slopes). He accidentally posted in the BG list thread instead of the Tileset list thread I think.

I particularly like the Desert Hills one.

It's more unique than other backgrounds. I think it would also accompany Autumn levels fairly well too.

And um, this is impossible but the BOTTOM 28: Snowy hills background is meant to be on the very bottom of the top + bottom backgrounds...anyone care to do the ASM for this? (this = allow 3 backgrounds to be placed, one on top, one on the bottom of the top and one on the bottom of the top AND the bottom one). Oh, and why does my Snowy Hills background have too many 16x16 tiles? How to fix it?

So you sent us a background which doesn´t even work? Great. But to your problem:
It has got too much 16x16 tiles because you placed the hills diagonal so the game has to create each diagonal new. In the original it was no problem because both hills were vertical placed and the game can use the tiles twice.
