If you click the poisoned water that you placed, to the left you should see a tab and there you can say how many pixels it can rise up or go down and the speed

make sure the speed it more than 0, that it's set to move more than 0 tiles and that the trigger ID you set is triggered.

Of course I've tried to do it before, and it really wasn't that difficult. Don't you think you might be the one who did something wrong? Plus, there's no way I can know what you're doing wrong. I don't have a crystal ball. If you don't give any details, there's no way I can give you more detailed explainations.

It works kind of like lava. Put how far you want it to rise and the speed.
