I don't really do sound hacking, but I'll come out and say it. .SSAR files are basically folders with sounds inside. But here's my issue. I want some more modern Mario sounds, (from Newer DS) in mine. I don't want EVERYTHING though. I was able to open all these files in MKDSCM (Mario Kart DS Course Modifier) and I listened to all the sound effects I wanted, wrote down their names and that was that. How do I extract these and import these individual files into my .sdat? For Example:

I want to extract this:
SE_OBJ_KINO_HOUSE_APP
(Toad House Appearing)

and import it over the same file in my .sdat. Any way to do this? I don't want to replace the WHOLE .SSAR files, just these individual files inside them.

I would help but due to the fact that SSAR files are much more complex and because you don't need them for casual music hacking I never had to deal with those files.

First of all download these two files MENU_SSAR_LIST --- NEWER_MENU_SSAR_LIST
