Here are some tips: The volcano image, make it a separate image and stick it to the bottom, with horizontal repeat only. Set the background color to the gray clouds so it will blend with the grey clouds on top of the volcanoes. And make a smaller image of the title of your hack a side image. It will look better. Remove the fixed CSS attachment option. All this is possible on the layout maker

It looks decent to say atleast....honestly I liked the old one. I like the BG, but IMO, the orange text is hard to read.

I think the text color your previous layout had would look good.
Also, the image doesnt tile, and you see a large empty space in the right side of the moon... _________________________ |

You really just need to find a background image that will tile properly, which you should set to repeat both x and y or whatever it says in the layout maker. You could make your current one repeat, but it wouldn't look very god IMO.

Instead of changing the image, just set the image to be stuck at horizontal-right in the settings in the layout maker. I think the image is long enough so it will cover the post space correctly, if not, resize it so it will fit the whole post space.

Yes, but there is no one size you can make the image. The size of a post will vary because people have different screen sizes and because the post box will get taller with a long post. It's better to get a tiling image, but if you can't, go with gridatttack's suggestion.

It doesn't repeat horizontally well on wide screens. Perhaps if image would be slightly wider - the post table length is 1212px max. You could use zoom feature in your browser if you have small screen to test it on wider screen.

Yeah, make the picture a bit wider, and make the text more light color, and it will be fine

I think it looks good. The only part where it would be difficult to read would be on the right part, since it has this blueish aura color, but for the most part, IMO, it looks good.
