The right image is way to big...& I don't know what to put as background...
Something simple I made using the layout maker when I signed up here. I like these kind of layouts.
Stretched the post out so you can see the full image on the side.

Uhh the whole post layout looked concave until you told me that one was convex and one was concave.
 Optical illusions!Actually it does make sense that it's entirly concave because if the light source is located at the top left, then the bottom right sides will be brighter than the top left sides. Besides the obvious fact that you made it with the layout maker, I would say you should make the main font a bit lighter. It's hard to read on a black background.

Make some sort of Ice as a background. (Like
 It would suit very well, I think)And the image. If you don't have something important you want to show off, just remove it. So, if you really want to keep it, you could just resize it.

Looks good, but I don't really like the fixed background. It looks good when the entire site has a background like that, but in a smaller box it just looks weird.
